I'm not massively into raw food as a movement but I do think it has it's place in a varied diet. Essentially the raw fruit cereal is a glorified fruit salad but despite it's simplicity it's incredibly tasty and I love it as an afternoon snack, not just for breakfast. The recipe below should serve you as a guide, this dish will work with whatever fruit you have on hand!
1 small green apple
1 small red apple
1/2 a pear
small handful of red grapes (cut in half longways)
1/4 cup frozen raspberries
2 TBSPs of sultanas or your choice of dried berry
1 TBSP cacao nibs
1 TBSP hemp seeds
1 TBSP tahini
for the milk
1 cup plant based milk
1/2 a banana
1 TBSP hemp seed oil (optional)
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla extract
1. Place all the ingredients for the milk in a blender and blend until smooth.
2. Mandolin the apples and pear into long thin strips (you can also cut them into small chunks if you don't have a mandolin). Place in a bowl, pour over the milk, crumble the frozen raspberries on top, sprinkle with the grapes, sultanas, hemp seeds and cacao nibs and drizzle with tahini.
